Geraldine Kieran is the Creative Director and founder of Theatre Tribe. With over a decade of experience in drama education, Geraldine has worked as a teacher, drama facilitator, playwright, theatre producer, and radio scriptwriter.
She holds a BA (Hons) in Applied Cultural Resource Studies, as well as Associate and Licentiate Diplomas from the Leinster School of Music & Drama and Trinity Guildhall. Her expertise spans Speech & Drama, Acting, Musical Theatre, Elocution, and creative performance direction.
Geraldine is also an accomplished broadcast and theatre producer, having created original stage and radio productions for young audiences across Ireland.
Theatre Tribe began in 2007, originally known as GSD School of Drama. Founded by Geraldine in the Redeemer Community Centre with just ten pupils, it has since grown into one of the region’s most respected drama schools.
At its peak before the recession, the school facilitated drama programmes in three primary schools and one secondary school, with over sixty private students weekly. After a brief pause, Theatre Tribe re-established itself in 2013 and has since built a reputation for award-winning drama education, creative theatre, and high exam results.
